The Natural Products Expo East will be held in conjunction with the Organic Products Expo, the Healthy Foods Conference, the Healthy Baking Seminar and the Organic Harvest Festival this October. For the first time this 24th annual show is hosted in Boston, Massachusetts. The expo is held at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center (BCEC) located at 415 Summer Street in Boston.
Education Sessions
One of the main components of the Natural Products East Expo is the education sessions and keynote speeches. Not all education sessions are included in attendance fees.
- Organic Cranberry Farm Tour – this tour will take attendees to two cranberry bogs in the Boston area and show the differences between organic and conventional growing and processing.
- Specialty Store Tour – attendees will visit Cambridge Naturals, Debra’s Natural Gourmet and Pemberton Farms to see natural products in retail settings.
- Healthy Baking Seminar East – held on October 15th this seminar will cover such topics as Designing a Green Bakery and Reaching the Gluten-free Consumer.
Other education sessions will cover marketing, employee management, sales and merchandizing, as well as looking at products for specific needs – weight loss, cardiovascular health and more.
Exhibits and Products
From AHAVA to Zum Bar Soap products to be sampled, smelled and educated on will be in the thousands. Exhibitors will be divided into six pavilions representing:

- Natural and Specialty Foods
- Natural Living
- Organic Products Expo – BioFach America
- Pet Products
- Supplements
Who Attends the Natural Products Expo East?
This Expo is not open to the general public and admission is only open to those who can document a professional affiliation to the trade. Those that qualify to attend the show include:
- Retail Buyers – such as natural food store and restaurant owners and staff
- Health/Practitioner Buyers – such as alternative medicine or traditional medicine practitioners or spa owners and staff
- Distributers, Brokers, Importers and Exporters
- Manufacturers – makes a product or products
- Suppliers – supplies raw materials for manufacturing
- Business Services – such as labs, research firms and consultants
- Guest – someone who is not directly or indirectly involved in this industry
The Expo Goes Green
The expo has purchased renewable energy tags through the Bonneville Environmental Foundation to offset energy consumption during the expo. Recycling programs have also been put in place for this expo. Other steps to bring “green” to the Natural Products Expo East include biodegradable badge holders, bamboo badges for employees of New Hope Natural Media and biodegradable/compostable disposable dishes and flatware.
